Waited most the Sunday afternoon in the cold for our warship HMS Prince of Wales to depart from Portsmouth Dockyard, to undergo the largest NATO exercise in 40 years.
Sadly it got delayed until the Monday, where I had other commitments I couldn't get down to bid farewell.
In 2022 The warship made it to the Isle of wight where it suffered a malfunction with a coupling on a propeller it took nine months to rectify.
Ironically HMS Prince of Wales took the place of HMS Queen Elizabeth the largest and most powerful warship in the Royal Navy, which was unable to participate due to an issue with its propeller shaft coupling... Sound familiar ?
Rough estimates come in a £3.2 Billion pound for HMS Prince of Wales
and a mere £6.1 Billion Pound for HMS Queen Elizabeth.
